Course summary
The Master of Engineering Science (Computer Engineering) is designed for engineers and graduates who wish to gain an advanced understanding at the master level of their current area of expertise in the field. As a graduate of this degree, you will have discipline specific knowledge and technical skills in the design and development of hardware and embedded systems, and develop specialist skills needed to lead a process of innovative change within the sector.
What you will study
You will study a core of key engineering subjects in Advanced Signals and Systems, Advanced Laboratory and Project, and choose subjects in your chosen field of computer, electrical or telecommunications engineering. A research component ensures that you enhance your analytical and practical skills.
For the computer engineering major you will study image and video processing, internet networking protocols and two advanced/technical computer engineering subjects from the Master list.

The Master of Engineering Science will provide you with the opportunity to further develop their technical knowledge in the disciplines of computer, electrical or telecommunications engineering, and the ability to analyse and solve engineering problems, and communicate these outcomes to other professionals.

A range of admission options are available for students of all ages and academic backgrounds.
Four year Bachelor of Engineering degree with a relevant or related specialisation in computer, electrical or telecommunications engineering with equivalent average mark 60%.
Applicants with a 3-year Bachelor of Engineering degree with a relevant or related specialisation in computer, electrical or telecommunications engineering plus at least two years’ relevant work experience may be considered.
